Hanukkah 2011(Elliott's 1st)

Hanukkah was late in December 2011. We celebrated the first few nights at home. Then, we started to head south, first stopping in Northern Virginia and ending in Orlando, Florida. Hanukkah we celebrated at every stop along the way, with whom ever we ended being with that night. It was nice to be able to share this holiday with so many people!

This was the first time Lila participated in Hanukkah...She saw Isaac wearing a yarmulke, so she wanted to she well!

Some December 2011 Moments...

Elliott's first 1st birthday card...Thanks GiGi...he loved the Mickey on the front!

Isaac went through a phase of requesting hot apple cider...in a mug of course. 

Elliott was super excited about his new kitchen from Grandma and Poggie...maybe not as excited as I was though.  Ever since Isaac was a baby I have wanted a simple wooden play kitchen, I am so happy to have it for my boys now!

We had roads/train track over take the family room for several days.

I think Elliott is taking after his big brother(and Daddy) in the sports department, he already has a good arm!  Look at those bangs...and those eyes, to quote one of his books, "baby I could just eat  you up!" Love you Elliott!

The 3rd Annual Zima Family Indian Ladder Breakfast with Santa.

 Soooo...Elliott was not too sure about sitting on this jolly guys lap.  He didn't want anything to do with Santa.

 Even though Elliott wasn't down with the Santa, Isaac had lots to tell him!

Thanksgiving 2011

We spent Thanksgiving 2011 in Virginia with Grandma and Poggie, plus all Poggie's brothers & wives, GiGi, Lulu, Michael, Anna, Lila, Evan, and Sue & Allen...it was a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! While we were there Isaac, Lila and Elliott got to continue the Haft Family Christmas tradition of making Springerle cookies. 

Notice Poggie's new TV (aka the movie screen ;-) in the background.  Poggie, Adam, Michael and Big Mike spent Thanksgiving Eve getting it mounted above the fire place.

Elliott continued practicing pulling himself to a standing position as well as walking while holding on to things!!!

Happy Belated Halloween!

Halloween 2011 was a multi-day event in our house. Halloween Party @ dance class, costume of choice...Peter Pan. Halloween Storytime @ Barnes & Noble, costume of choice...Luke Skywalker. Halloween!!!, costume of choice...Mr.Incredible. While Isaac was very opinionated in his costumes, Elliott was happy with Mama's choices. He sported a pumpkin sweatsuit for all pre-Halloween events and a puppy costume(what Isaac wore for his first Halloween)for trick or treating.

One Old...One New...

I love having my families history recorded here...I have fallen behind sharing lots of memorable moments. My goal is to post something old and something new everyday until am up to date!!!
