One simple fix?

So last weekend we decided to replace the counters in our kitchen. (I ordered new laminate counter tops at least two years ago. They have been sitting our our warehouse ever since.) We ended up having to cut the drywall and back splash to get the counters in. Since we were patching the wall and back splash, we decided to repaint the wall and tile the back splash. We also got a new sink. I have new hardware for the drawers and I want to repaint the cupboards. Depending on how the tiling goes I might also tile the floors. I am tired just thinking of all the work that still needs to be done!!! Here are some pictures of the work done so far.

having so fun

Isaac was looking for something to do while I was busy doing the dishes. So I set him up next to me so he could do some dishes of his own.

Isaac loves the train he got for Christmas!!! He still needs a bit of help to get on, but once there...he is off!!! The outfit he is wearing is from Aunt Laura...it has been sitting in his drawers for months, I keep passing it by thinking it is still too big. Guess what...it isn't too big anymore. He is growing up so fast!

Sick day...now SNOW day

After being back to work from a week long vacation, I have only worked one day this week. Yesterday day I stayed home to take care of my sick husband and one year old. Today I stayed home because all the schools closed due to the snow ae are having. Is it possible to have cabin fever in 2 days??? Well after being puke-free for more than 24 hrs, Isaac and I weren't going to let a little of the white stuff keep us home, so shopping we went!

Look at these big boy shoes!!! Thanks Sam for the hand-me-downs.

Last night while I was doing the dishes, Isaac found a new source of entertainment...the dogs (very full) water bowl. My first thought was NNNOOOOO...but he was having so much fun and I was able quick finish the dishes...a little water on the floor isn't going to hard anyone ;-)

Scrub-a-dub-dub one little man in the tub...

Isaac loves bath time. Even though it makes it harder to find his toys, he really loves it when we turn the bubbles on and his babywash multipies!!!
Strategically placed bubbles;-)

Throughly enjoying himself.

Isaac was officially a year old a few weeks ago, but he had his one year visit with his pediatrician this week...He is a healthy, happy, normal (cuter than average) one year old...23lbs 12 oz...31 in tall!

The picture below depicts two of Isaac's favorite pastimes, eating(I think it was spaghetti) and bathtime.
