1st trip...kinda of ;-)

I have been planning our baby's first trip to Walt Disney World for a while now...however, thanks to my sister Anna, Baby Z's first trip was before he even made his debut into the world. Adam, my Grandma Bea and I left a cold Albany NY yesterday morning and arrived to a beautiful warm sunny day in Orlando FL. Though I love vacationing at Disney I discovered yesterday that lugging around what feels like a 100lb child in my stomach makes navigating the parks much more challenging!!! Our day consisted of going to the Disney Hollywood Studios, a mani and pedi with the other ladies of the bridal party, dinner with the Florida branch of Capitol District Supply and a quick stop at the Ale House to grab a beer(Adam more so than me ;-) and meet some of the other guest of the wedding. We had a nice day, but I was pooped to say the least.

There has been progress!!!

So this was a busy weekend...Baby Z's room is primed and ready for paint...crocodile smile is the color of choice. On Sunday Adam and I drove out to New Haven Conn. (the closest Ikea to Albany) and got a new sofa. If my camera was not broken I would add pictures...bad time not to have a working camera, just before my little sister's wedding and the birth of my first child...My goal of the week is to get a new one!

We got nothing done on Little Zima's room during the week, but here is the progress that Adam has made this weekend.

It seems like hundreds of years ago that Adam started work on our little one's bedroom, I can see some light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to many helping hands, Adam was able to finish the insulation and get all the drywall up this weekend. Now the worst part...mudding and taping the drywall. We have a busy baby week (an infant care class and a child birth class) so I am not sure when the walls will be ready for paint, but our painters are on stand by as soon as the walls are done :-)...THANK YOU TO IDAN, TIM, LIZ, HANA...and of course ADAM

Baby Shower

About a week and a half ago I flew to Virginia for my sister Anna's Bridal Shower. Since I was there as well as relatives from out of town, it was decided that would be a good weekend for a baby shower too!!! It was a wonderful weekend of showers. Thank you to everyone who help plan and execute such a wonderful shower, celebrating the upcoming arrival of our little baby boy! Also, thanks to everyone who was able to attend.

23 weeks down...17ish to go!

We are at week 23, so Baby Zima should be here in 17 weeks give or take a few!!! Over the past week I have really started to notice all of his movements, Adam is not patient enough to sit a wait to feel it.
